Dan's Diner is doing good and delicious work and we've been pleased to give them some support.
Recently, club members visited Dan's Diner, an initiative to teach useful skills (commercial cooking) with practical mental health support for youth from difficult circumstances. Their philosophy is not necessarily to give their clients what they want, but what they need.
Dan's Diner teaches cooking skills and the kitchen turns out a marvelous variety of frozen, ready-to-heat meals with an ever- changing variety. They also cater events!
Our Rotary Club has supported Dan's Diner with funding to assist with their programs.
Dan's Diner is located at #150 – 131 11th Street in New Westminster and their hours of operation are 11-30 to 5:30, Monday to Friday excluding stat holidays. If you want some tasty and nutritious meals to tuck away in your freezer for busy days, Dan's Diner can supply them, and all for a good cause. Very much a win-win situation.
