  Tony Parsons from CBC introduced our speaker:

  Rhonda Larrabee is the Chief of the New Westminster Indian Band, traditional
  name Qayqayt (Kakite) First Nation.  She has been working for many years in
  the community of New Westminster as a member of the Aboriginal Advisory
  Committee at Douglas College and partnered with the College to build an
  Aboriginal Gathering Place.  She has strong connections with School District
  #40 and the Justice Institute of B.C.   Mayor & Council have worked
  hand-in-hand at many events with Qayqayt First Nation and Rhonda continues
  to be a strong advocate for education in the Royal City.  The National Film
  Board produced a film called "A Tribe of One" about the history of the
  Reserves in New Westminster and is used as a teaching tool in many colleges
  and universities in Canada and the U.S.
