![]() Tillicum Toastmasters Mission Statement The Mission of Tillicum Toastmasters is to provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. The Meaning of "Tillicum" Tillicum is a First Nation's word meaning, "Friend." A Typical Tillicum Meeting Tillicum meetings follow a specific format which gives members opportunities to practice various techniques in a variety of situations, such as fulfiling meeting roles, participating in "Table Topics," as well as delivering project speeches using Toastmaster manuals. While we take our responsibility as Toastmasters very seriously, we make a point of having fun at our meetings. The best way to learn about Tillicum is to visit! Guests are welcome to attend, several times if needed, to decide if Tillicum is right for you. |
